Aerobic respiration burns fat and anaerobic burns carbs?

can someone help me understand why aerobic respiration burns fat and anaerobic burns carbs?
during aerobic respiration…some carbs in the form of glucose would STILL have to be burned right? surely carb burning is not just anaerboic exclusive right?
