What are the functions of photosynthesis and aerobic respiration metabolic pathways?

I’m having some trouble understanding my this area in my biology class. I’ve read the part in the book a couple times about it, and I still can’t grasp it. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

When does oxidative phosphorylation occur in aerobic respiration?

Okay, so in aerobic respiration first there is 1 Glycolysis, then 2 Krebs/Citric Cycle, and then finally 3 Electron Transport Chain So when does oxidative phosphorylation occur? Like before or after the electron transport chain? Thanks!

How would you calculate the efficiency of aerobic respiration, particularly if a cell generates 32 ATP?

I’m having trouble with a question in my textbook. I understand that the equation is energy required over energy released, but I don’t understand how to find those two numbers.

What is a direct result of aerobic respiration?

1. The potential energy of glucose is transferred to ATP molecules 2. The enzymes for anaerobic respiration are produced and stored in lysosomes 3. Lactic acid is produced in muscle tissue 4. Alcohol is produced by yeast and bacteria

Electron Transport Chain Animation Overview (Chemiosmosis)

See an overview of Cellular Respiration here www.youtube.com For a more advanced video of this… www.youtube.com This is the final step in cellular respiration, also known as aerobic respiration. Electrons have been carried by compounds such as NAD+, FADH, and NADP. Now they are used to set off a chemical reaction that takes advantage many [...]

Lab 9

During laboratory 9 we learned about the evolution of aerobic metabolism. This is where a metabolic pathway in large amounts of ATP is produced in the presence of oxygen. Aerobic metabolism occurs in the mitochondrion of eukaryotes and builds upon the activities of glycolysis. The lab helped us identify parts of the mitochondrion and describe [...]

Can someone simply explain aerobic respiration to me?

My AP test is on Monday and I just need a simple understanding of aerobic respiration’s three parts (glycolysis, Krebs cycle, and oxidative something?) I don’t need enzyme names or anything, just an overview. thanks so much

Aerobic Metabolism

For this lab, we tried to determine how much oxygen is consumed and how much carbon dioxide is produced in aerobic respiration in both germinating and dry peas. We placed 10 pellets of potassium hydroxide in the test tubes of both types of peas to catalyze the respiration process. To measure how much CO2 and [...]
